Atletico San Jose FC Youth Program includes a boys and girls youth starter program where coaches focus on helping children learn the basic fundamentals of the game involving ball control, dribbling, passing, and shooting, and end each session with fun engaging games. Throughout each youth starter session, all players have their individual ball at their feet for the majority of the session. The program also offers U8–U14 recreational practices and games that focus on the basic fundamentals, and a U8–U19 competitive program where Atletico players develop through the DDLC module (Discipline, Dedication, Learning, Competitive).

The youth starter program is a purely recreational program for kids who are just starting or who want to learn more of the basic fundamentals the game revolves around. The U8–U14 recreational program is for boys and girls with no experience, little experience, or who just want to play for fun while learning basic fundamentals at practices and games. The U8–U19 competitive program is the next step beyond recreational programs and introduces competitive and academy programs, with the club encouraging viewers, parents, scouts, and other spectators to stay engaged in all Atletico San Jose FC games at all levels from recreational to competitive in Bronze, Silver, Gold, Premier, Nationals, ECNL, and MLS Next. The club states that it wants players to enjoy the game and create spectacular moments throughout each match that is played, and it emphasizes providing an affordable pathway by not overpricing fees while still covering operational expenses.
Atletico San Jose FC was established on March 1, 2019, in San Jose, California, as an adult men’s open team with the goal to help change local football (soccer) in the area and welcome all players who want to succeed and one day play professionally. The club’s mission states that it thrives for success with an open style of play without restrictions on creativity, while having each of its players from youth teams to adult teams feel identified with the club and push themselves to achieve their highest potential. The mission also states that proper player development is fundamental and that all players are encouraged to follow the DDLC module: Discipline, Dedication, Learning, and Competitive, with an overall goal to become the best club in the area that will produce and guide the most youth players into a professional or collegiate path playing throughout the world. Atletico San Jose FC is described as San Jose’s family club and as a family club, not a franchise or corporation club, representing the city of San Jose as well as surrounding cities including Santa Clara, Campbell, Saratoga, Alviso, Milpitas, Cupertino, Sunnyvale, Monte Sereno, and Los Gatos.
The leadership team includes Angel Torres as President and Owner & Founder, Clara Dominguez as Vice President, Merim Tojaga as Executive Board Member, and Daniel Chavez as UPSL Team Head Coach. Atletico San Jose FC has a Macron partnership store for uniforms and equipment. Future expansion as of Fall 2024 is planned to consist of both recreational and competitive programs for U5–U19 age groups, as well as a women’s open team planned to begin in Summer 2025.
